Welcome to the Blessed Hammer Paladin Endgame Guide! This archetype goes all the way back to Diablo 2 and the classic Hammerdin. Here, Blessed Hammer doesn't just spiral out, but with Disciple's Halo follows your character, transforming it into a moving whirlwind of destruction.
Blessed Hammer Paladin Endgame Build Guide for Diablo IV Season 12 - Slaughter
While Herald's Morningstar offers excellent damage, the real fun begins with Argent Veil. This ring auto-casts Blessed Hammer for you, allowing you to zoom around even faster while everything in the vicinity gets shredded to pieces.
To use this to its fullest, combine the Disciple Oath with three Disciple skills, Condemn, Falling Star and Advance to permanently transform into Arbiter, leveraging the empowered Evade and potent buffs such as Ascension to become one of the fastest Paladin builds.
The Blessed Hammer Paladin looks cool, feels zoomy and excels at speed clearing easy content. Let's dive in to see what it's all about!
Requirements for the Ancestral variant of this build
- Boots with "Attacks Reduce Evade's Cooldown by # Seconds".
Note that information outside of Build Variants is described from the perspective of the Mythic variant.
赛季主题与构筑适配
The Season 12 theme brings Killstreaks and Bloodied Items to Diablo 4. Slay enemies in succession to begin a streak that grants increasingly greater benefits based on which affixes you roll on your gear in addition to seasonal reputation and experience. Tiers are divided as follows: Killstreak (0-99) - Carnage (100-249) - Devastation (250-499) - Bloodbath (500-999) - Massacre (1000-9000) - Fresh Meat! (9001+). For most instanced content types, you can typically expect to reach up to the 4th tier (Bloodbath). Additionally, you can find Bloodied Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes and Lair Bosses that offer greater challenges and rewards (introducing "pseudo Torment 5").
Bloodied Items
Bloodied affixes are bonus affixes that can randomly roll on gear and come in three categories: Rampage (armor), Feast (weapons), Hunger (jewelry). The first two offer minor combat effects while the latter boosts specific loot drops, which doesn't impact your build. Recommended affixes for this build are:
- Rampage: % Strength, % Life.
- Critical Strike Chance and Attack Speed to help fill any gear gaps.
- Feast: Every 25 Kills, Gain Berserking.
- Hunger: Up to preference.

技能与玩法
- Blessed Hammer is your main ability. It creates a spinning hammer that follows you around and becomes a Disciple skill, benefitting from Disciple synergies. With Argent Veil, you can trigger it automatically with Arbiter Evade for fast clearing.
- Falling Star is the main mobility tool, used to jump from pack to pack or over obstacles and to trigger Arbiter form via the Disciple Oath.
- Advance is used as another mobility tool and as another way to trigger Arbiter form.
- Condemn also triggers Arbiter form via Disciple, groups enemies and makes them Vulnerable.
- Fanaticism Aura adds Weaken and buffs damage, ramping up with repeated attacks.
- Defiance Aura recovers health and generates Resolve. It can be activated for Unstoppable when needed.
- Note that the Ancestral Variant includes Rally for extra resources until the late game setup comes online.
Skill Rotation
- Hold/Spam Blessed Hammer to deal damage.
- Use Evade in Arbiter to auto-cast Blessed Hammer with Argent Veil on Cooldown
- Once you have assembled all the Exodia pieces you only need to hold Blessed Hammer down and Spam Evade. You must have Boots with "Attacks Reduce Evade's Cooldown by # Seconds" for this to work.
- Use either Falling Star or Condemn every few seconds to stay in Arbiter form.
- Activate Fanaticism Aura, Defiance Aura and Rally as often as possible.
- Use Condemn to pull enemies in.
- (Starter setup only) Use your Basic Skill or to recover resources.
Paladin Oath
As a Disciple, it's all about transforming into Arbiter form as often as possible by using either Condemn or Falling Star, allowing you to benefit from various buffs and an improved Evade.

流派变体
This section is designed to guide your Blessed Hammer Paladin from a fresh level 60 into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Push (Tower/Pit), Speedfarm and more.
If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or Pale Marks in the Mercenary Den.
Gear & Skills
- Early on in your progression, focus on stacking Maximum Life to survive. As you unlock higher power gear and Paragon points, you naturally scale your character into the higher difficulties and can start replacing some of these rolls with offensive stats or uniques.
- Gamble Maces to acquire Herald's Morningstar as early as possible.
- Next, focus on getting Argent Veil. This allows you to use Evade offensively while in Arbiter form.
- While the class-specific aspects are usually stronger, you can also use other generic bonuses like Edgemaster's, Inner Calm and more until you get them.
- Fortify is an important source of damage, so include one source of it (Hale's Salve) to benefit from passives like The Best Offense.
- At this stage, it's difficult to hit 100% Block Chance, but Bulwark's, En Garde tempers and some Paragon nodes make it possible. If you feel too squishy, you can invest more into Block earlier (e.g. equip Herald of Zakarum, put the aspect on the amulet, more tempers, rush the Paragon nodes).
- Once you have completed the basic setup and don't struggle for resources anymore, switch to the Ancestral variant.

装备 / 佣兵 / 符文
This section describes how to optimize your Blessed Hammer Paladin with the right Item Affixes, Runes and Mercenary choices.
To enable the Blessed Hammer Paladin to perform optimally, hunt for these stats on your gear with good rolls and aim to Temper ⚒️ & Masterwork Crit them accordingly. Keep in mind that certain stats, such as Extra Size Tempers, Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance and more, have caps that may affect your priorities according to the items and Paragon points available at that moment.
Recommended Consumables: Soothing Spices, Reddamine Buzz, Spiral Morning & Elixir of Precision II.
常见问题与机制
Take a look into this section for a deeper dive on frequently asked questions, common mistakes and the underlying mechanics of how the Blessed Hammer Paladin works.
The build works really well when you decimate everything in seconds, but may get overwhelmed if fights are long against high level monsters. There are several adjustments you can make when you have trouble with more difficult content:
- Make sure you reach permanent 100% Block Chance to avoid massive damage spikes.
- Use defensive consumables (Reddamine Buzz, Soothing Spices, Elixir of Fortitude II).
- Roll Maximum Life instead of offensive stats on as many pieces as possible.
- Kite enemies when they become Unstoppable.
- Replace an offensive rune with Mot, Que or Xal.
Mechanics
- Some builds don't have an obvious synergy for their Oath choices, usually defaulting to Disciple for smaller buffs and the ability to use Ascension.
- Disciple only refreshes its duration; it doesn't add up when spamming skills to activate it.
- Disciple benefits from the Arbiter of Justice - Seraph's Wings and Reach of the Law upgrades.
- Disciple does not allow you to refresh the entire duration of Arbiter of Justice.
