Mana can be difficult until you obtain Frozen Memories and eventually Ring of Starless Skies. Elemental Synergies gives a nice bonus from choosing all Frost Skills, you won't need to cast Frozen Orb or Frost Bolt.
Orsivane is a unique mace that gives damage and the related Enchantment to each Defensive Skill you leave off your Action Bar. Deep Freeze has a long animation even if you cancel it and only needs to be used defensively in emergencies.

- Glacial - Before obtaining this aspect, you rely on Shocking Impact which is featured in the Leveling Build.

The Season 12 theme brings Killstreaks and Bloodied Items to Diablo 4. Slay enemies in succession to begin a streak that grants increasingly greater benefits based on which affixes you roll on your gear in addition to seasonal reputation and experience. Tiers are divided as follows: Killstreak (0-99) - Carnage (100-249) - Devastation (250-499) - Bloodbath (500-999) - Massacre (1000-9000) - Fresh Meat! (9001+). For most instanced content types, you can typically expect to reach up to the 4th tier (Bloodbath). Additionally, you can find Bloodied Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes and Lair Bosses that offer greater challenges and rewards (introducing "pseudo Torment 5").
Bloodied Items
Bloodied affixes are bonus affixes that can randomly roll on gear and come in three categories: Rampage (armor), Feast (weapons), Hunger (jewelry). The first two offer minor combat effects while the latter boosts specific loot drops, which doesn't impact your build. Recommended affixes for this build are:
- Rampage: Core Stats, Attack Speed
- Feast: Berserk, Chains
- Hunger: Rampage, Feast, Hunger

Gameplay Notes
- Blizzard is your primary damage skill but produces it's damage through Glacial which summons exploding Ice Spikes around your Blizzard, Frozen Tundra is a deceptive damage increase because it allows your Ice Spikes to hit much more consistently.
- Ice Blades provides additional attack speed with Invoked Ice Blades. You will also use the Enchantment to get more attack speed.
- Familiar provides a damage bonus with Invoked Familiar, try to maintain one.
- Deep Freeze is mainly on the bar for Elemental Synergies but is still a powerful defensive tool to avoid damage or break crowd control. It has a long animation even if canceled that make it undesirable to cast in normal circumstances.
- Frost Bolt is only on the bar for Elemental Synergies but can be used for Might if Sanctified or using an early gear set.
- Frozen Orb is only on the bar for Elemental Synergies.
- Teleport Enchantment provides damage from Mystical Teleport with Convulsions.
- Ice Armor can be activated with your Potion with your Enchantment, this provides a damage bonus with Mystical Ice Armor.
- Frost Nova provides damage with Mystical Frost Nova at a Lucky Hit Chance with your Enchantment.
Rotation Breakdown
Skill Rotation
- Cast Blizzard and move to group enemies.
- If enemies don't die quickly it is usually best to stay melee and stack Blizzard in one spot to avoid the targets moving away from the damage stack. Try dodging in a way that kites the enemies around your already placed Blizzard.
- Use Teleport to stay mobile or group enemies.
- Cast Ice Blades whenever available.
- Maintain one Familiar.
- Use your Potion for Ice Armor as needed for defense or the offensive buff against Frozen.
- Only use Deep Freeze for emergencies or to break crowd control.
Sorcerer Enchantments
Ice Blades Enchantment increases your attack speed by summoning additional Ice Blades after using your Skills with a cooldown.
Blizzard Enchantment provides a small damage increase by creating Ice Spikes around you.
Orsivane provides all Defensive Skill Enchantments. This includes Teleport for mobility, Frost Nova for damage, Ice Armor defense with potential for offense, and Flame Shield defense.

Blizzard Sorcerer
This section is designed to guide your Blizzard Sorcerer from a fresh level 60 into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Push (Tower/Pit), Speedfarm and more.
If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or Pale Marks in the Mercenary Den.

- Board Rush provides the most damage in early Paragon levels. If you choose to do this route then you will need to reset your Paragon later.
- Imbiber requires using your Potions to benefit from it's damage multiplier. Temerity allows you to freely use all of your potions. If you prefer to save your potions then consider Reinforced instead.
- Consider using Reinforced on Hardcore.

To enable the Blizzard Sorcerer to perform optimally, hunt for these stats on your gear with good rolls and aim to Temper ⚒️ & Masterwork Crit them accordingly. Keep in mind that certain stats, such as Extra Size Tempers, Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance and more, have caps that may affect your priorities according to the items and Paragon points available at that moment.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Skill Tree featured may gain Skill Ranks from different sources such as Harlequin Crest. Check the Build Variants for the correct setup for each step of your journey. Mechanics
- Glacial spawns an Ice Spike in a random spot within Blizzard every 0.5 seconds.
- Ice Spikes benefit from Cold Damage bonuses and Permafrost passive.
- Ice Spikes benefit from your Intelligence Skill Damage bonus.
- Ice Spikes do not benefit from Mastery Skill Damage bonuses.
- Ice Spikes can Critically Strike but cannot proc Lucky Hits.
- Aspect of the Frozen Tundra damage range doesn't matter, it is used to increase the area effect of your Glacial Ice Spikes.
- Ranks of Blizzard now scale Ice Spikes.
- While all the exact mechanics are much more nuanced, there are two separate Attack Speed Bonus caps of +100% that apply to all builds for a total potential of +200%. For Sorcerers, these two caps are distributed in the following way:
