Welcome to the Crushing Hand Spiritborn Endgame Guide! This build relies on Gorilla Skills and combines extreme speed with high AoE damage. You spam Crushing Hand to your heart's content; destroying everything in your way & crushing all content in the game, including Bloodied Sigils.
Crushing Hand Spiritborn Endgame Build Guide for Diablo IV Season 12 - Slaughter
You become a Crushing Hand monster (a.k.a Crushborn) with just a few Uniques and as early as Paragon 100. Bloodied Affixes (like Resource Cost Reduction) help ramp this even further. The Push variant makes some changes to lean into maximum damage. This is a decent all-around build, though you're constantly in melee range so you need to watch out for one-shot effects.
This build doesn't need much to get started. Uniques like Harmony of Ebewaka and Rod of Kepeleke really make this build shine!
Our resources are solved differently depending on the tools available to us, starting with standard tools like Basic Skills Vigor regen or Vital Strikes. Later replaced by the combo of Rod of Kepeleke + Ring of the Midnight Sun. This allows you to permanently crit with massive extra damage & larger AoE.
All in all, the Crushing Hand Spiritborn, "Crushborn", represents a fun AoE machine that excels at speed farming, bossing, and push high in the Pits/Tower. Let's get started!
NOTE The information outside of Build Variants is described from the perspective of the Mythic variant.
Season Theme - Kill Streaks
The Season 12 theme brings Killstreaks and Bloodied Items to Diablo 4. Slay enemies in succession to begin a streak that grants increasingly greater benefits based on which affixes you roll on your gear in addition to seasonal reputation and experience. Tiers are divided as follows: Killstreak (0-99) - Carnage (100-249) - Devastation (250-499) - Bloodbath (500-999) - Massacre (1000-9000) - Fresh Meat! (9001+). For most instanced content types, you can typically expect to reach up to the 4th tier (Bloodbath). Additionally, you can find Bloodied Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes and Lair Bosses that offer greater challenges and rewards (introducing "pseudo Torment 5").
Bloodied Items
Bloodied affixes are bonus affixes that can randomly roll on gear and come in three categories: Rampage (armor), Feast (weapons), Hunger (jewelry). The first two offer minor combat effects while the latter boosts specific loot drops, which doesn't impact your build. Recommended affixes for this build are:
- Rampage:
%Dexterity, Resource Cost Reduction,Attack Speed- Update: Bloody Affix Resource Cost Reduction (BA.RCR) doesn't act like normal RCR and will massively increase your damage. You want this affix on all of your gear and NO OTHER normal RCR on any other gear or elixir. Learn more about this interaction in the mechanics section.
- Feast: Gain Berserking
- Hunger: Increase chance for Hunger Items (to get more amulets), More Runes
There is more to discover including the new seasonal Slaughterhouses and how to transform into the Butcher himself. Learn more details about the season theme in our full Season Guide.
技能与玩法
- Crushing Hand is our main ability. It's a simple skill that creates two AoE circles in front of you, which partially overlap in the center. Focus elites while smaller enemies just explode on the side. With more Resolve stacks its damage increases, so aim to keep it a high count at all times. You also build extra barriers while attacking with this skill, for additional defenses.
- The Unique gloves Hesha e Kesungi greatly decreases ultimate skill cooldown, massive damage increase from using The Protector, and increases Gorilla skill ranks.
- Concussive Stomp is on the skill bar for maximum life from Resilient, but also to provide additional stagger against Bosses.
- You refill your Vigor every hit with the Unique ring Ring of the Midnight Sun, as long as you have enough Resource Generation stat. Learn more about this interaction in the mechanics section.
- You also gain the passive damage increase from Counterattack that is enabled by Midnight Sun, so you don't have to have it on your skill bar.
- You don't have aspect room for Unrelenting; as Unyielding Hits & Adaptability are actually stronger.
- Ravager hits enemies every time you attack, triggering the damage ramp from Jaguar Beast Strike quickly for up to a 15%[x] increase while attacking
Skill Rotation
- Spam Crushing Hand to deal damage. Ideally, overlap the two AoEs on elites to get multiple hits against enemies, which increases your damage against them.
- Keep Ravager and Armored Hide active at all times for block, extra hits, & Resolve.
- Activate The Protector as often as possible to to group up enemies, increase damage, and gain various buffs like Supremacy and Resolution.
- Try to make sure that Armored Hide is on the Intricacy "Loop", by it being the last skill cast before using The Protector.
- Activate Scourge, only once enemies are grouped up by The Protector
Spiritborn Spirit Hall
Primary: Jaguar Main Hall does an additional hit against an enemy with all the previous damage done over the last 0.5s after hitting an enemy 15 times and make all skills Jaguar skills. This also helps refill Vigor & healing using Vital Strikes.
Secondary: Eagle Secondary Hall makes every other skill cast a guaranteed Critical Strike and increases our damage against vulnerable enemies by 20%[x]. With Harmony of Ebewaka, this also makes all skills Eagle skills.
NOTE: In the Starter variants, the Primary Spirit is Eagle Main Hall (EMH) casting Storm Feathers which will make enemies vulnerable and make all skills Eagle skills. This also helps refill Vigor & healing using Vital Strikes.

流派变体
This section is designed to guide your Crushing Hand Spiritborn from just starting out and then progressing into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants (if they are available) if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Push (Tower/Pit), Speedfarm, and more.
If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or bartering at the Den. More about bartering Pale Marks can be found here.
Gear & Skills
- Early on in your progression, focus on stacking Maximum Life to survive. As you unlock higher power gear and Paragon points, you naturally scale your character into the higher difficulties and can start replacing some of these rolls with offensive stats and/or additional uniques.
- Redirected Force & Unyielding Hits scales your damage with Armored Hide (100% Block chance & Gorilla skill). Make sure to keep it active with your Intricacy loop.
- Survival shouldnt be much of an issue, just add maximum life affixes where possible on defensive gear. You shouldn't need to get maximum life on rings or gloves
- Use Vortex to group up enemies.
巅峰与雕文
Use the slider to see the progression steps. At around Paragon 200, leveling slows down significantly and all important Rare clusters, Legendary nodes and Glyph sockets should be unlocked. Afterwards, you can min/max your build with minor tweaks and by picking up additional smaller nodes.
NOTE: If you don't feel like rotating your Paragon boards going from Paragon 100 -> 150, then you can just use the layout from Paragon 150 and follow the progression as close as you can from Paragon 100 to 150.
NOTE: The Paragon "Board Rush" method is the most effective and powerful min/max outcome, where you unlock all 4 Legendary nodes prior to even focusing on all 5 Glyphs.
Glyph Leveling Priorities
To Level 15
- Spirit
- Canny
- Revenge
- Colossal
- Talon
To Level 46
- Spirit
- Canny
- Revenge
- Colossal
- Talon
- Hubris
NOTE: Canny is used, even though Crushing Hand is physical damage, because of Convergence, which is a massive damage increase for all damage, not just Non-Physical damage. It needs upgraded to level 46 so that you can fully increase Convergence to its full potential of 60%[x].
NOTE: Around Paragon 225+ you switchCanny forHubris on the Sapping board to maximize Vigor.

常见问题与机制
Once a guide is released, many players have questions on why and how this guide is approaching certain choices. In this section you can find the answers to the questions that have been asked the most.
Season 12 Introduced Bloody Affixes, one of which is Resource Cost Reduction (RCR) that has a chance to be on your Armor slots. As previously highlighted, RCR improves the damage of Rod of Kepeleke.
TLDR: Unlike any other RCR, these stats behave differently and become a massive stealth boost to Spiritborn damage! Get it on all your armor!
- Unlike other RCR stats, which are inverse multipliers, all of the Bloody Affix Resource Cost Reduction (BA.RCR) stats are added together as a single stat, then they are multiplied by your Kill Streak Tier
- Tier 1 | Killstreak: 15+ Kills
- Tier 2 | Carnage: 100+ Kills
- Tier 3 | Devestation: 250+ Kills
- Tier 4 | Bloodbath: 500+ Kills
- Tier 5 | Massacre: 1000+ Kills
- Normal RCR stats cannot reach 100% RCR and with normal RCR stats, Rod of Kepeleke doesn't benefit over 75% RCR. BA.RCR stats CAN exceed 100%
- With BA.RCR if you had 3x 13% RCR stats and reached Tier 3 Killstreak you would have 117% RCR
(+13% + 13% + 13%) x 3 = 117% - With BA.RCR if you had 5x 13% RCR stats and reached Tier 4 Killstreak you would have 260% RCR
(+13% x 5) x 4 = 260%
- With BA.RCR if you had 3x 13% RCR stats and reached Tier 3 Killstreak you would have 117% RCR

- BA.RCR stats continue to increase your Rod of Kepeleke's damage above the 75% cap!
- Normal RCR stats, when combined with BA.RCR (while its over 100%), actually REDUCES your RCR stat
(1.17[BA.RCR] x (1 - .20[Elix RCR]) = 93.6%
- This means you do not want to combine normal RCR and BA.RCR together on your gear.
Mechanics
Rod of Kepeleke "chance to hit twice":
- Grants Payback a chance to deal double damage
- Grants each Quill Volley projectile a chance to double hit
- Only replicates one of the two hits for Rake (combining damage)
- Only replicates one of the two hits for Crushing Hand (combining damage)
- Allows Touch of Death to reinfect from swarms
- Allows Stinger to replicate a full swing once per attack at a surrounding poisoned target
Rod of Kepeleke "cast at maximum size":
- Adds 2 feathers to Quill Volley
- Enlarges Crushing Hand to 200% size
- Enlarges Stinger to 200% size
- Enlarges Rake to ~400% size
- Enlarges Payback to ~double the size
- Does nothing for Touch of Death
- Does not stack with any size tempers
Resource Cost Reduction:
- Acts as a multiplier to your total Max Vigor pool for this item, meaning you deal more damage because Rod of Kepeleke can "consume more".
- E.g. with 250 Max Vigor and a perfect roll, Rod of Kepeleke adds a 125% bonus multiplier for a total of 225% damage.
- With 25% RCR, your total Vigor would act as 250/0.75 = 333, in which case the weapon adds 166.5% damage for a total of 266.5%, a 18.4% DPS increase.
- Channeling Shrine acts as a 75% RCR effect for Rod of Kepeleke, in this example increasing DPS by 166.67% (compared to baseline).
- Use Ignition's Spiritborn Mega-Calc to calculate your RCR or compare which Kepeleke is "better" Here.
