Double Swing Barbarian Endgame Build Guide for Diablo IV Season 12 - Slaughter

by snail/Season 12 - Slaughter/Last Updated: 2026年4月26日Maxroll 导入

Welcome to the Diablo 4 Double Swing Barbarian Endgame Build Guide! This is a hard-hitting, fast-paced melee build that excels at most content the game has to offer. Its small hit zone may seem underwhelming at first, but pile on some Attack Speed, stack some size tempers and bring a skill to group up enemies and Double Swing can make quick work of any surrounding opposition.

For skills, we focus on abilities that enable us to keep our damage, defense, mobility and Fury levels high. Rallying Cry and War Cry are great choices for this style of gameplay, since they passively provide strong buffs to us. In Season 10, these are both active permanently thanks to the Deafening Chorus Chaos Perk. Using Strategic Ground Stomp resets our Ultimate and also inflicts Stun, which enables the Fury recoup of Violent Double Swing. Our Ultimate of choice is Wrath of the Berserker, since it gives us a massive damage boost and even more Fury generation on top of it.

All of this combined makes you an Unstoppable machine that relentlessly cuts through hordes of enemies! With that said, don't let this introduction slow you down any longer; let's slice and dice our way through this Double Swing Endgame Guide!

If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or Pale Marks in the Mercenary Den.

How it Works

Season 1 - Genesis
Double Swing Barbarian

Skills & Rotation

  • This is a Walking Arsenal build. To gain the effects of this Key Passive, you need to alternate between skills that have different weapons assigned to them. They are as follows:
  • Double Swing (assigned to Dual-Wield). This is your main Core ability. It comes packed with some great utility by providing a way to constantly apply Vulnerable and recoup Fury against Stunned enemies.
  • Hammer of the Ancients (assigned to Two-Handed Mace). It's used for its upgraded version, Violent Hammer of the Ancients, which grants a global 40% damage multiplier for a short time whenever it Overpowers. This is accomplished by using the Xan Rune.
  • Mighty Throw (assigned to Two-Handed Slashing Weapon). This is mainly used to activate your third Walking Arsenal bonus, but it has some useful utility as well. When cast, it grants you an Attack Speed buff for 6 seconds and also Stuns enemies on impact.
  • Ground Stomp is used to help group enemies, which helps a lot in dealing with the small range of Double Swing. It has a secondary use, too, which is creating Earthquakes to benefit from the huge damage multiplier granted by the Earthquakes Aspect.
  • Steel Grasp is yet another grouping tool, specifically for targeting ranged mobs that tend to float around on the outside of your screen. It can also be used to drag enemies across multiple screens to create large pulls.
  • Call of the Ancients is the Ultimate of choice, and is used for its damage, damage reduction, and Attack Speed bonuses. It also serves as a fantastic way to sustain Fury. With enough focus on Cooldown Reduction, you can have these buffs active at all times.

Skill Rotation

  • To maximize damage, the main setup uses the Walking Arsenal Key Passive. This requires you to rotate your other skills while they are assigned to different weapon types in order to receive a large damage multiplier and the Unstoppable buff. It might sound complicated, but this actually occurs quite naturally and doesn't require much thought once you get the hang of it. Here's how you manage it:
    • Assign Double Swing to your Dual-Wield Weapons. This is done automatically when you put the skill on your bar, since it can only use one weapon type. This skill is used constantly, so its Walking Arsenal bonus is essentially always active.
    • Assign Hammer of the Ancients to your Two-Handed Bludgeoning Weapon (your Mace). This is *also* done automatically when you put the skill on your bar, since it can only use one weapon type. The Walking Arsenal bonus refreshes whenever you use Hammer of the Ancients, which you want to do around every 5 seconds in order to benefit from the increased Maximum Fury it provides.
    • Assign Mighty Throw to your Two-Handed Slashing Weapon (typically a Polearm). You really only need to use this skill once every 15 seconds to refresh its Walking Arsenal bonus. You can, however, benefit from the extra Attack Speed it provides if you cast it more frequently.
  • All remaining skills on the bar are used as buffs or for utility purposes.
    • Cast Ground Stomp at least once every 8 seconds to ensure you always have the damage multiplier from the Earthquakes Aspect active. Typically you want to lead with this skill when you engage enemies, since it will group them up and Stun them.
    • Cast Call of the Ancients whenever it's available to maintain its buffs and Fury recoup effect. Whenever you use Ground Stomp, you also lower the cooldown of this ability.
    • Cast Steel Grasp as necessary to pull in stragglers. In large areas, you can use it to pull multiple screens of enemies and finish them off all at once.

Gear

  • First and foremost, this build uses Melted Heart of Selig. This has some major implications that completely change how the build functions. If done correctly, the build is extremely tanky (almost immortal) and gets a huge damage boost on top of it. This extreme tankiness is due to the fact the lower your Maximum Life is compared to your Maximum Fury, the more damage reduction you receive. Ideally, you want your Maximum Life to be in the mid/high-200's to take full advantage of this. READ:
  • Crown of Lucion gives you a stacking damage multiplier whenever you spend Fury, but also increases your Fury costs. These costs are offset by the large amount of Fury Generation that the build possesses, as well as the inherent Fury recoup provided by the Violent Double Swing upgrade.
  • Twin Strikes is Double Swing's dedicated Unique item, and it comes packed with great stats. Whenever you trigger an Overpower, the additional hits from this item also Overpower, which means you can dish out a ton of extra damage when this effect, the Hit Twice temper, and Xan Rune line up.
  • Tibault's Will works in combination with the Walking Arsenal Unstoppable effect to provide a good 20% generic damage boost. It also gives you a decent amount of Maximum Fury, along with other great stats.
  • Ramaladni's Magnum Opus gives you a massive damage multiplier that is based on your Maximum Fury, and is an incredible item when combined with Melted Heart of Selig.
  • Sabre of Tsasgal is a weapon that encourages use of multiple damaging skills to maximize its effect; in this case, you have a total of 6(!) such skills. The unnaturally high ranks of Warpath that are present on this item make it an even more valuable option in terms of pure offense.
  • Ring of Starless Skies is typically a no-brainer choice for most builds; for this one, it gives a very respectable 50% multiplicative damage increase, some Attack Speed, a ton of extra Critical Strike Chance, and even some Core Skill ranks.
  • Limitless Rage is a very strong Aspect that is often difficult to use in most builds due to its reliance on overcapping Fury in order to activate. Double Swing, however, is quite good at keeping this up consistently due to its cheap cost and natural Fury recoup effect against Stunned enemies.
