Welcome to the Evade Spiritborn, a.k.a. Evadeborn, Endgame Guide - where you annihilate everything in sight with a barrage of auto-aimed projectiles while barely lifting a finger. Oil up that scroll wheel, because it is about to become the most overworked hero in Sanctuary!
Evade Spiritborn Endgame Build Guide for Diablo IV Season 12 - Slaughter
The Eagle Primary Spirit Hall, also known as Eagle Main Hall (EMH), is where your true power comes from. You launch Storm Feathers when you Evade or when you cast an Eagle skill (with an ICD equal to evade).
Initially, you Evade Weave, until you're able to Perma-Evade. With weaving/alternating Thunderspike attack & then evading. Every 3rd [Thunderspike attack reduces your Evade cooldown by 5 seconds, even allowing you to play an Evade as a build as early as level 15+ and blast enemies to your heart's content. Evade Weaving is very simple and easy to execute way and described in detail in the Skill Rotation and FAQ & Mechanics sections below.
I've also made a how-to video here.
To become Evadeborn, requires enough Evade cooldown to effectively reset your Evade charges so that you're able to Perma-Evade. General Cooldown Reduction affixes also apply to Evade and stacking enough allows you to use Evade endlessly. When you get Wushe Nak Pa you want to swap to that & The Seeker immediately. You improve your damage with Eagle Main Hall (EMH) through Eagle Primary Spirit Hall potency & your Storm Feathers potency.
The Mythic variant is effectively a Speed Farming variant. Its also great for Bossing & clears Pit 100+. The Push variant is for pushing the Pit & Tower. Both Variants are more than capable of handling Bloody Sigils. These variants can be used to farm gear for other builds, or ride this into the sunset for the whole season and hit Paragon 300.
NOTE: "Attacks reduce Evade Cooldown" implicit doesn't work with invoked skills, which is why +Evade charges boot implicit is needed for Perma-Evade.
Requirements for this build
- +Evade Charges Boot implicit.
- Thunderspike on Skill Bar, with Accelerated Thunderspike enabled.
- 59%+ Total Evade Cooldown Reduction
- You can't just ADD your cooldown stats together, they are inverse multipliers (use the Calc).
- Build Variants / Mechanics section below for full explanation.
- Evade Calculator at Spiritborn Mega-Calc Here. (make a copy, plugin your stats)
--- OR ---
- Sepazontec, this is sub-optimal, but it is better than Evade weaving.
Season Theme - Kill Streaks
The Season 12 theme brings Killstreaks and Bloodied Items to Diablo 4. Slay enemies in succession to begin a streak that grants increasingly greater benefits based on which affixes you roll on your gear in addition to seasonal reputation and experience. Tiers are divided as follows: Killstreak (0-99) - Carnage (100-249) - Devastation (250-499) - Bloodbath (500-999) - Massacre (1000-9000) - Fresh Meat! (9001+). For most instanced content types, you can typically expect to reach up to the 4th tier (Bloodbath). Additionally, you can find Bloodied Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes and Lair Bosses that offer greater challenges and rewards (introducing "pseudo Torment 5").
Bloodied Items
Bloodied affixes are bonus affixes that can randomly roll on gear and come in three categories: Rampage (armor), Feast (weapons), Hunger (jewelry). The first two offer minor combat effects while the latter boosts specific loot drops, which doesn't impact your build. Recommended affixes for this build are:
- Rampage: %Dexterity
- Feast: Gain Berserking
- Hunger: Increase chance for Hunger Items (to get more amulets), More Runes
There is more to discover including the new seasonal Slaughterhouses and how to transform into the Butcher himself. Learn more details about the season theme in our full Season Guide.
技能与玩法
- Thunderspike provides a source of Vulnerable, and the 3rd hit reduces your Evade cooldown by 5 seconds. In early stages you effortlessly weave this inbetween your Evade casts to reset your Evade cooldown, while your overall Cooldown Reduction takes care of this on its own in later stages.
- Armored Hide is your source for Unstoppable and Resolve. It grants 100% Block Chance and grants you the full damage bonus forRedirected Force.
- This is also part of the Intricacy loop with your Ultimate skill, where you need to ensure this was the last non-core skill you cast before using your ultimate.
- You MUST cast this at least every 3 seconds to keep up Unyielding Hits.
- Counterattack passively increases Critical Strike Damage based on the number of Close enemies. You haven enough dodge with Mirage that you normally don't need to activate this skill.
- Rock Splitter is mostly on the skill bar for max life from Resilient, but can also be used as a Gorilla skill for Unyielding Hits if you messed up your Intricacy loop or for additional Knock-down/Stagger.
- Soar you use as mobility mostly to change "heights" without having to climb up/down the ladders. Also, used for the permanent Vulnerable cloud when pushing/Bosses.
- The Seeker is your Ultimate Skill, providing permanent Critical Strikes during its uptime. You also activate Resolution and Supremacy when The Seeker is used. Learn more about Supremacy later in the mechanics section below.
Skill Rotation
In the T1 Starter variant you Evade Weave with Thunderspike and keep up Unyielding Hits with Rock Splitter by casting it every 3 seconds, especially when fighting Elites and Bosses.
HOW TO EVADE WEAVE - FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
- Hold Position: Prevent normal moving when attempting to attack.
- Mouse & Keyboard: Toggle Hold or Press the Hold Position Key (default is Shift).
- Controller: Face the direction you want to Evade.
- Thunderspike Attack
- Both Mouse & Keyboard and Console: Press & Hold Thunderspike.
- Evade Attack
- Mouse & Keyboard: Spam Evade (default is Spacebar).
- Controller: Spam Evade (default is B).
- Rinse & Repeat Steps 2 & 3 (until the blasting is done).
Check out this how-to video here.
NOTE: Evading "too fast" to properly weave, or not hitting enemies with Thunderspike can slow you down. Keep it a steady pace.
- Keep Armored Hide up as much as possible.
- Use Counterattack when needed around bosses, but you don't want permanent dodge or you lose a large damage bonus from Redirected Force
- Press Rock Splitter once every 3 seconds to help keep your Unyielding Hits up, mostly on Elites and Bosses, and Combined Strikes Legendary Aspect.
- Use The Devourer whenever possible to increase Supremacy stacks by killing enemies.
- Make sure to use your Intricacy procs on Armored Hide, to ensure more uptime on Unyielding Hits and Redirected Force.
In the Starter Seeker Transition variant you are looking to spamming The Seeker, while still working towards the Ancestral Variant. You still are Evade-Weaving until you hit the 59%+ Evade Cooldown reduction. Learn more about when to transition to Seeker in the FAQ & Mechanics section.
The T1 Seeker Transition variant skill rotation is essentially identical to that of the T1 Starter variant.
- Use The Seeker when you need 100% Critical Strike Chance, mainly on Elites and Bosses.
- Becomes more beneficial once you get Wushe Nak Pa.
- Make sure to use your Intricacy procs on Armored Hide, to ensure more uptime on Unyielding Hits and Redirected Force.
REQUIREMENT: Before you can Perma-Evade, you need reach the Evade Cooldown Reduction with
- +Evade Charges Boot implicit.
- Thunderspike on Skill Bar, with Accelerated Thunderspike enabled.
- 59%+ Total Evade Cooldown Reduction
- The "easiest" way to achieve this is 2x GA Evade Cooldown Reduction Tempers & 1 GA Cooldown Reduction (CDR) Affix on ring or gloves.
- If you don't have the GA on your Tempers & Affixes, then you need MW Crit them for the same value outcome.
- You cant just ADD your cooldown stats together, they are inverse multipliers
- Build Variants / Mechanics section below for full explanation.
- Check your Evade stats with Spiritborn Mega-Calc.
NOTE: "Attacks reduce Evade Cooldown" implicit doesn't work with invoked skills, which is why +Evade charges boot implicit is needed for Perma-Evade.
The Ancestral (Perma-Evade) variant is vastly stronger now as you no longer need to Evade Weave and can just permanently spam Evade. This is also improved by having powerful Uniques like Loyalty's Mantle, Wushe Nak Pa, and Band of First Breath.
- Start your run by casting Armored Hide, followed by The Seeker; to ensure you gain 3 "charges" of Armored Hide from Intricacy, creating your "Intricacy loop".
- Spam Evade
- Instead of holding Thunderspike, like with Evade Weaving, instead hold Armored Hide.
- If you run out of charges with The Seeker & Armored Hide, then you can cast Rock Splitter as a Gorilla skill for Unyielding Hits.
- Cast The Seeker as long as you have charges to keep up permanent Critical Strikes and keep Supremacy at maximum stacks (30 is the max).
REQUIREMENT: Before you can Perma-Evade, you need reach the Evade Cooldown Reduction with
- +Evade Charges Boot implicit.
- Thunderspike on Skill Bar, with Accelerated Thunderspike enabled.
- 59%+ Total Evade Cooldown Reduction.

The Mythic variant skill rotation is essentially identical to that of Ancestral Perma-Evade variant.

- You can also achieve this with two evade cooldown tempers.
- Check your Evade stats with Spiritborn Mega-Calc.
The Push variant's skill rotation is almost identical to that of Ancestral Perma-Evade & Mythic variants. You can still Speedfarm with this variant but its main focus is pushing.
- You no longer have Soar to use for it's utility.
- Don't cast Rock Splitter or Concussive Stomp, it is only used for max life from the passive Resilient.
- Cast Armored Hide then cast The Seeker on the first large Elite pack you see to knock-down (and chance to regain a charge). By aiming Seeker on Elite packs, you have the best chance to regain charges.
Spirit Halls
Primary: You bring the thunder, Eagle Main Hall (EMH) brings the lightning, or in this case the Storm Feathers.
Secondary: Starting off in Torment 1 with Gorilla Secondary Hall (GSH) for both Unstoppable & additional damage.
Later, use Eagle Secondary Hall (ESH) once you have Loyalty's Mantle to grant a massive increase in Vulnerable damage, and reduced cooldown on The Seeker.

流派变体
This section is designed to guide your Evade Spiritborn from just starting out and then progressing into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. All of these variants are great at maintaining Kill Streaks. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants (if they are available) if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Push (Tower/Pit), Speedfarm, and more.
If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or bartering at the Den. More about bartering Pale Marks can be found here.

Use the slider to see progression steps. At around Paragon 200, leveling slows down significantly and all important Rare clusters, Legendary nodes and Glyph sockets should be unlocked. Afterwards, you min/max your build with minor tweaks and by picking up additional smaller nodes.
NOTE: If you don't feel like rotating your Paragon boards going from Paragon 100 -> 150, then you just use the layout from Paragon 150 and follow the progression as close as you possible from Paragon 100 to 150.
NOTE: The Paragon "Board Rush" method is the most effective and powerful min/max outcome, where you unlock all 4 Legendary nodes prior to even focusing on all 5 Glyphs.

装备 / 佣兵 / 符文
This section describes how to optimize your Evade Spiritborn with the right Item Affixes, Runes and Mercenary choices.
To enable the Evade Spiritborn to perform optimally, hunt for these stats on your gear with good rolls and aim to Temper ⚒️ & Masterwork Crit them accordingly. Keep in mind that certain stats, such as Extra Size Tempers, Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance and more, have caps that may affect your priorities according to the items and Paragon points available at that moment.
Recommended Consumables:
- 1. Loyalty's Mantle 's aspect value is only useful for The Seeker 's cooldown reduction. You're looking for a <11s cooldown on The Seeker , so that you are able to sustain spamming it every 2 seconds. Learn more about this interaction in the mechanics section .
- 2. You may opt to choose a sub-optimal "shortcut(s)" that fast-tracks enabling Perma- Evade . These Uniques can usually be fit into a build along the way to help you achieve Perma-Evade before you have all the necessary pieces: Harlequin Crest
- 3. Sepazontec
- 4. NOTE: Cooldown Reduction Bloody Affix can also assist in reaching the necessary requirements.
- 1. Elixir ( Recommended ): Elixir of Fortitude II - For more maximum life. ALTERNATIVES: Elixir of Precision II - For more critical strike additive damage. (the critical strike chance is useless due to Harmonious Seeker )
- 2. Incense ( Recommended ): Queen's Supreme - More Dexterity for more damage.
- 3. Reddamine Buzz - Increases maximum life.
- 4. Soothing Spices - Additional defense through Armor and Resistances.
Important Info:

Amulet Passive Ranks:
Passives on an amulet are one of the more harder to find drops, let alone getting an amulet with 4 passives for every affix & having one or more stats being a Greater Affix (GA). Instead of you being expected to have "unobtainium" gear, the stat priority list shows the priority of passives in order. Alternatively, if you don't have 4 passives, then the other listed stats are helpful to your build.
- Elixir (Recommended): Elixir of Fortitude II - For more maximum life.

常见问题与机制
Once a guide is released, many players have questions on why and how this guide is approaching certain choices. In this section you can find the answers to the questions that have been asked the most.
- If you are playing the Starter then you still need to Evade Weave.
- If you are using any other Perma-Evade variants then make sure you are following the rotation explained in the "Skill & Rotation" section closely. Do not hesitate to ask in Discord.
- +Evade Charges Boot implicit.
- Thunderspike on Skill Bar, with Accelerated Thunderspike enabled.
- 59%+ Combined Cooldown (you cant add these stats, they are inverse multipliers).
- Check your Evade Cooldown stats with my Spiritborn Mega-Calc Here.
The build works really well when you decimate everything in seconds, but may get overwhelmed if fights are long against high level monsters. There are several adjustments you can make when you have trouble with more difficult content:
- Barrier spam with Que
- Use defensive consumables.
- Roll Maximum Life instead of offensive stats on as many pieces as possible.
- Kite enemies when they become Unstoppable.
- Don't stop evading, because of your skill points in Mirage.
- Watch out for one-shot mechanics, normally they are pretty "easy" to spot coming.
Mechanics
Below is a summary of how Cooldown Reduction works. Read our Cooldown Reduction Guide for more detail.
- Cooldown Reduction makes your skills that have a cooldown be available faster again after using them.
- Multiple sources of Cooldown Reduction are reverse multiplicative and combined as:
1 - (1-CDR1%)*(1-CDR2%)*… = totalCDR for a skill. - Cooldown Reduction from gear, passives and paragon is capped at
75%. - Some skills with a cooldown can have their cooldown reduced beyond the
75%cap by up to40%extra by adding more points in them (max at rank 20), for a potential of1 - (1-75%)*(1-40%) = 85%CDR.total
As stated previously, 59% or more Total Evade is required to use Evade endlessly. At this amount, you restore more Evade charges from Thunderspike and the natural Evade cooldown than you spend. Use the formula above to calculate your effective Cooldown Reduction anytime you plan to alter your gear. Sources of Evade Cooldown Reduction in this build are:
- Evade Cooldown Reduction Temper on Boots and Amulet
- Any generic Cooldown Reduction affixes like on Helmets, Gloves, Rings, or Bloody Affixes.
- Check your Evade Cooldown stats with my Spiritborn Mega-Calc Here.
