Welcome to the Flurry Rogue Endgame Guide! This build is an easy-to-play melee variant that's a fantastic all-rounder in Diablo 4. You have good mobility and high area damage to blast through monster packs while decimating larger foes with an onslaught of sword and dagger strikes.
Flurry Rogue Endgame Build Guide for Diablo IV Season 12 - Slaughter
Flurry is your primary damage skill, and you'll be spamming it endlessly with Deathmask of Nirmitruq. Spending Life instead of Energy is not a problem when you prioritize stats like Life On Hit and ranks to Siphoning Strikes.
Finding Alchemist Control and tempering Flurry Size on your gear helps solve the fairly limited melee range of Flurry. Shadow Clone significantly increases your damage dealt by mimicking all of your skills.
Dash and Shadow Step let you zip around Sanctuary and make this build one of the fastest moving Rogue builds.
Flurry Rogue gets you up close and personal with your enemies while being unfazed by their attacks due to your healing and overall tankiness. Continue reading to learn all there is to know about Flurry.
Note that information outside of Build Variants is described from the perspective of the Mythic variant.
赛季主题与构筑适配
The Season 12 theme brings Killstreaks and Bloodied Items to Diablo 4. Slay enemies in succession to begin a streak that grants increasingly greater benefits based on which affixes you roll on your gear in addition to seasonal reputation and experience. Tiers are divided as follows: Killstreak (0-99) - Carnage (100-249) - Devastation (250-499) - Bloodbath (500-999) - Massacre (1000-9000) - Fresh Meat! (9001+). For most instanced content types, you can typically expect to reach up to the 4th tier (Bloodbath). Additionally, you can find Bloodied Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes and Lair Bosses that offer greater challenges and rewards (introducing "pseudo Torment 5").
Bloodied Items
Bloodied affixes are bonus affixes that can randomly roll on gear and come in three categories: Rampage (armor), Feast (weapons), Hunger (jewelry). The first two offer minor combat effects while the latter boosts specific loot drops, which doesn't impact your build. Recommended affixes for this build are:
- Rampage: +% Attack Speed, +Maximum Life
- Feast: Gain Berserking
- Hunger: Increased chance for Hunger Items

技能与玩法
- Flurry is your Core skill. With Encircling Blades it hits in a circle around you and Enhanced Flurry keeps enemies Vulnerable. Use Improved Flurry only if damage is not an issue and you want more mobility and healing.
- Dash grants you high mobility on cast, is an easy way to avoid hits from Shadow Bosses in The Pit and high damage effects, and Methodical Dash keeps you topped up on charges. Alternatively, it can be a reliable source of Knock Down for the second Malice bonus by using Disciplined Dash.
- Smoke Grenade helps you stay alive by inflicting Daze on enemies and adds a powerful 25% damage modifier. Against Bosses, it gives a significant source of Stagger. Subverting Smoke Grenade is your only source of poison damage to activate the passive Alchemical Advantage for increased attack speed.
- Shadow Step grants you high mobility and Unstoppable when needed. You don't need to put any skill points into the skill once you have Grasp of Shadow.
- Caltrops adds a powerful damage buff with Enhanced Caltrops. Toss them out to start more difficult encounters to take down tanky Elites and Bosses.
- The Flurry Rogue uses Shadow Clone as its Ultimate skill. For 15 seconds, you multiply your damage output significantly. It mimics all of your skills except Imbuements. As you progress, the cooldown becomes short enough with tempers and Preparation for Shadow Clone to always be active.
Skill Rotation
- Cast Dash and/or Shadow Step to move quickly from enemy to enemy.
- Cast Shadow Clone as often as possible to activate Preparation, No Witnesses and Vehement Brawler's. Slow down your casts to every 8 seconds once you're at or above 5 stacks of Apogeic Furor.
- (On Elites & Bosses) Drop your Caltrops and keep them inside the area to maintain the Enhanced Caltrops debuff.
- (On Elites & Bosses) Throw Smoke Grenade for a 25% damage buff.
- Hold down Flurry until all enemies are dead.
Rogue Specialization
Preparation - Spend Energy to reset your Ultimate Skill, which in turn resets all your other skills.
This allows you to reset your cooldowns when you cast Shadow Clone while giving you some extra damage reduction. See the FAQ and Mechanics section on better Energy Recovery until you have Deathmask of Nirmitruq.

流派变体
This section is designed to guide your Flurry Rogue from a fresh level 60 into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Push (Tower/Pit), Speedfarm and more.
If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or Pale Marks in the Mercenary Den.
Gear & Skills
- Early on in your progression, focus on stacking Maximum Life to survive. As you unlock higher power gear and Paragon points, you naturally scale your character into the higher difficulties and can start replacing some of these rolls with offensive stats or uniques.
- Umbrous is an important survivability tool for many Rogue builds. If you haven't found it, use either Mot, Enshrouding, or Dark Shroud on your bar for extra defense.
- There are a few ways to sustain your resources. Using Moni + Lum with Improved Flurry solves it immediately. Alternatively, you can use Advanced Flurry and prioritize ranks to Innervation by tempering 1-2 jewelry items. Another option is to use Inner Sight until you can sustain Energy without it.
- Stolen Vigor, Encircling Blades, and Breakneck Bandit's are your main Offensive Aspects. The Starter Flurry Rogue setup shows the most optimal arrangement of these Aspects when they are max rank as they have different max values. As you change and improve your equipment, ensure the highest percentage Aspect is on your Ranged weapon and the second highest percentage Aspect is on your Amulet.
- Prioritize farming the new unique helm Deathmask of Nirmitruq from Urivar or Beast in Ice since it's an extremely large buff to the Flurry Rogue. Once you have it equipped, resource management is no longer an issue, and you instead need to focus on generating back the life you'll be draining. You do this by putting 3 skill points into Siphoning Strikes, using Undying and/or prioritizing affixes like Life on Hit on your gear.
- You socket Diamond gems into your weapons to help ensure No Witnesses is capped.

装备 / 佣兵 / 符文
This section describes how to optimize your Flurry Rogue with the right Item Affixes, Runes and Mercenary choices.
To enable the Flurry Rogue to perform optimally, hunt for these stats on your gear with good rolls and aim to Temper ⚒️ & Masterwork Crit them accordingly. Keep in mind that certain stats, such as Extra Size Tempers, Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance and more, have caps that may affect your priorities according to the items and Paragon points available at that moment.
Recommended Consumables: Soothing Spices, Reddamine Buzz, Spiral Morning & Elixir of Advantage II.
It is critical that you are able to survive and maintain your health despite using Deathmask of Nirmitruq, the quickest and easiest fix for this is to simply use Undying on your chest or pants. With higher level gear and enough Life on Hit you'll be able to replace Undying with a more useful Aspect.
常见问题与机制
Take a look into this section for a deeper dive on frequently asked questions, common mistakes and the underlying mechanics of how the Flurry Rogue works.
The build works really well when you decimate everything in seconds, but may get overwhelmed if fights are long against high level monsters. There are several adjustments you can make when you have trouble with more difficult content:
- Use defensive consumables (Reddamine Buzz, Soothing Spices, Elixir of Fortitude II).
- Roll Maximum Life instead of offensive stats on as many pieces as possible.
- Kite enemies when they become Unstoppable.
- Replace an offensive rune with Xal or Que.
- Prioritize more defensive Aspects, like Undying or Enshrouding.
Mechanics
- Dark Shroud stacks Damage Reduction additively for each active shadow. Due to the additive stacking, each increase in the skill's rank and active shadows boosts your survivability exponentially.
- Shadows have a 1.5 seconds cooldown between losing stacks, but the Damage Reduction still applies depending on how many are active at all times.
- At maximum stacks, your effective hit points (EHP) scale as follows in these examples:
- Rank 1: 66.6% more EHP
- Rank 5: 92.3% more EHP
- Rank 10: 138.1% more EHP
- Rank 15: 215% more EHP
- Rank 20: 354.5% more EHP
BD 总结
The Flurry Rogue is a fun to play, fast-paced melee build that is easy to get going in the endgame. It's a fantastic overall build and excels in Speedfarming.
- Attack with Flurry as often as possible to maintain Dark Shroud stacks through Umbrous.
- Deathmask of Nirmitruq not only buffs your Flurry damage output, but also instantly solves all your Energy issues because it makes you spend life instead. Prioritizing Undying at the start, and then switching to Life On Hit, Siphoning Strikes and Taste of Flesh from your Mercenary will help you heal back the life you're spending when using this helm.
- Cast Shadow Clone whenever possible to reset cooldowns and maintain Preparation, No Witnesses and Vehement Brawler's bonuses.
- Use incenses like Soothing Spices and Reddamine Buzz to help keep yourself alive.
- Feel free to swap from Improved Flurry to Advanced Flurry to increase your damage for any content that isn't Speedfarming (Like Bosses, Capstone Dungeons, and Pushing).
