Frozen Orb is the source of your damage and primary skill to cast but you also get extras from your Tempers, Enchantment, and your unique item Fractured Winterglass which allows your Conjurations to also sling Frozen Orb. This means you will be also casting your Conjurations when cooldown allows. Outside of slinging orbs and summoning Conjurations you will have a fairly quick Teleport with your Enchantment but it will be much slower than previous seasons.
Orsivane is a unique mace that gives damage and the related Enchantment to each Defensive Skill you leave off your Action Bar. Tal Rasha's Iridescent Loop is a large part of your gameplay, requiring you to stack your three different elements and then rotate two to maintain the stacks, which will be easy with your variety of conjurations.

Frozen Orb Sorcerer
The Season 12 theme brings Killstreaks and Bloodied Items to Diablo 4. Slay enemies in succession to begin a streak that grants increasingly greater benefits based on which affixes you roll on your gear in addition to seasonal reputation and experience. Tiers are divided as follows: Killstreak (0-99) - Carnage (100-249) - Devastation (250-499) - Bloodbath (500-999) - Massacre (1000-9000) - Fresh Meat! (9001+). For most instanced content types, you can typically expect to reach up to the 4th tier (Bloodbath). Additionally, you can find Bloodied Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes and Lair Bosses that offer greater challenges and rewards (introducing "pseudo Torment 5").
Bloodied Items
Bloodied affixes are bonus affixes that can randomly roll on gear and come in three categories: Rampage (armor), Feast (weapons), Hunger (jewelry). The first two offer minor combat effects while the latter boosts specific loot drops, which doesn't impact your build. Recommended affixes for this build are:
- Rampage: Core Stats, Attack Speed, Cooldown Reduction
- Feast: Berserk, Chains
- Hunger: Rampage, Feast, Hunger

Gameplay Notes
- Frozen Orb is your primary damage skill and should be easy to cast a lot with Avalanche. It Chills enemies and applies Vulnerable. Your damage will increase with each active Summon thanks to Fractured Winterglass. You can have additional Conjurations out past the normal cast limit thanks to Fractured Winterglass.
- Ice Blades increases your attack speed with Invoked Ice Blades in addition to stacking Summons.
- Lightning Spear stacks more Summons, you get two with every cast thanks to Enhanced Lightning Spear.
- Hydra provides your Pyromancy Skill for Tal Rasha's Iridescent Loop and adds more Summon stacks. Avoid refreshing them too early and focus on casting Frozen Orb.
- Familiar provides more damage after a Frost Skill thanks to Invoked Familiar and stacks Summons.
- Unstable Currents provides additional Attack Speed and prevents Crackling Energy from expiring. It also produces additional Summons.
- Teleport Enchantment provides damage from Mystical Teleport with Convulsions.
- Ice Armor can be activated with your Potion with your Enchantment, this provides a damage bonus with Mystical Ice Armor.
- Frost Nova provides damage with Mystical Frost Nova at a Lucky Hit Chance with your Enchantment.
Rotation Breakdown
Skill Rotation
- Cast Hydra and Lightning Spear to stack Tal Rasha's Iridescent Loop and begin casting Frozen Orb while moving.
- Use Ice Blades when available to increase your Attack Speed and stack Summons.
- Use Lightning Spear when available to stack Summons.
- Use Familiar primarily after a Frost Skill for Invoked Familiar, use when available.
- Hydra can be maintained but avoid casting it too much.
- Unstable Currents will have a long cooldown, use it when available.
- Use your Potion for Ice Armor as needed for defense or the offensive buff against Frozen.
Sorcerer Enchantments
Frozen Orb Enchantment provides more damage by sending extra Frozen Orbs while you cast your Skills.
Ice Blades Enchantment increases your attack speed by summoning additional Ice Blades after using your Skills with a cooldown and helps stack more Summons.
Orsivane provides all Defensive Skill Enchantments. This includes Teleport for mobility, Frost Nova for damage, Ice Armor defense with potential for offense, and Flame Shield defense.

Frozen Orb Sorcerer
This section is designed to guide your Frozen Orb Sorcerer from a fresh level 60 into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Push (Tower/Pit), Speedfarm and more.
If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or Pale Marks in the Mercenary Den.

- Board Rush provides the most damage in early Paragon levels. If you choose to do this route then you will need to reset your Paragon later.
- Imbiber requires using your Potions to benefit from it's damage multiplier. Temerity allows you to freely use all of your potions. If you prefer to save your potions then consider Reinforced instead.
- Consider using Reinforced on Hardcore.

Mechanics
- Frozen Orb has three damaging components starting with the Orb itself dealing damage on contact. Second, Piercing Shards periodically deal damage to everything around the Orb as it travels. Finally, the Explosion that deals damage in a large area when Orb reaches its destination.
- Most of the damage comes from the Explosion, however, to get maximum performance out of your Frozen Orb you need to aim it slightly behind the enemy to get the Orb damage, maximize the amount of Piercing Shards hitting, and keep the enemy in the final Explosion radius.
