Welcome to the Judgement Paladin Endgame Guide! This build focuses on triggering Judgement as often as possible to create intense holy fireworks all over the screen. Thanks to the chaining back and forth between enemies by effects such as Proselytizing and Judicator, this build excels especially at AoE clearing.
Judgement Paladin Endgame Build Guide for Diablo IV Season 12 - Slaughter
The progression is smooth from the start but the power really ramps up a lot later on. The goal is to spam Blessed Hammer, while Arbiter of Justice passively applies Judgement to everything in your path. On bosses you add Spear of the Heavens into the mix, each carrying a Judgement that can interact with other effects. Blessed Hammer is then used to hit both the Spear and enemies for instant Judgement explosions.
After the Starter version, this build gets supercharged by being in permanent Arbiter of Justice form and with the combo between Judicator + Golden Hour and Spear of the Heavens, allows Judgement explosions to self-perpetuate between targets for tons of chain reactions with dozens of explosions per second.

The Season 12 theme brings Killstreaks and Bloodied Items to Diablo 4. Slay enemies in succession to begin a streak that grants increasingly greater benefits based on which affixes you roll on your gear in addition to seasonal reputation and experience. Tiers are divided as follows: Killstreak (0-99) - Carnage (100-249) - Devastation (250-499) - Bloodbath (500-999) - Massacre (1000-9000) - Fresh Meat! (9001+). For most instanced content types, you can typically expect to reach up to the 4th tier (Bloodbath). Additionally, you can find Bloodied Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes and Lair Bosses that offer greater challenges and rewards (introducing "pseudo Torment 5").
Bloodied Items
Bloodied affixes are bonus affixes that can randomly roll on gear and come in three categories: Rampage (armor), Feast (weapons), Hunger (jewelry). The first two offer minor combat effects while the latter boosts specific loot drops, which doesn't impact your build. Recommended affixes for this build are:
- Rampage: % Strength, but in the early stages of the build Cooldown Reduction, Maximum Life, Critical Strike Chance and Movement Speed can be very useful to hit caps
- Feast: Berserking, apply Vulnerable, Hook
- Hunger: increased Chance for Hunger Items

- Spear of the Heavens is your main ability. It has a long cooldown, but can be reduced to near zero with enough Judgement explosions popping off. The permanent mark allows you to continuously detonate it on every hit, which makes stacking multiple Spears in the same place very valuable when combined with Judicant's Glaivehelm + Judgement Day + Judicator + Golden Hour.
- Blessed Hammer is used to detonate Judgements before they expire through the Judicator Oath.
- Falling Star is the main mobility tool, used to jump from pack to pack or over obstacles.
- Defiance Aura tremendously increases your Armor and Total Resistances, recovers health and generates Resolve. It can be activated for Unstoppable when needed.
- Fanaticism Aura grants you much needed Critical Strike Chance and Attack Speed per stack, as well as Weakening enemies on activation.
- Arbiter of Justice transforms you, while your Wing Strikes now apply Judgement with Reach of the Law.
- Note that the Starter variant includes Holy Bolt for extra Judgement applications and resources, Blessed Hammer to trigger the Judgement explosions from enemies + Spear of the Heavens. The Starter variant also includes Holy Light Aura for more Judgements.
Skill Rotation
- Keep Arbiter of Justice active permanently to apply Judgement to enemies.
- Use Blessed Hammer while running from pack to pack to detonate Judgement early.
- (On Bosses) Press Spear of the Heavens whenever ready.
- Activate Fanaticism Aura andDefiance Aura as often as possible.
- (Starter setup only) Use Blessed Hammer when Spear of the Heavens is on cooldown and Holy Bolt when out of resources, to explode packs of small enemies and to apply Judgement.
Paladin Oath
As a Judicator, you fully embrace Judgement synergies. This is a crucial part of the full combo that enables the endgame setup, allowing you to hit multiple enemies with each mark and chaining them with Golden Hour.

This section is designed to guide your Judgement Paladin from a fresh level 60 into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Push (Tower/Pit), Speedfarm and more.
If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or Pale Marks in the Mercenary Den.
Gear & Skills
- Early on in your progression, focus on stacking Maximum Life to survive. As you unlock higher power gear and Paragon points, you naturally scale your character into the higher difficulties and can start replacing some of these rolls with offensive stats or uniques.
- Gamble Helms to acquire Judicant's Glaivehelm as early as possible.
- Afterwards, focus on getting Golden Hour as it enables the chaining back and forth between Judgement explosions, which is key to the lategame setup.
- In the beginning, you have to be more mindful about your resources. Make use of the Cem + Lum Runewords as often as possible!
- While the class-specific aspects are usually stronger, you can also use other generic bonuses like Edgemaster's, Inner Calm and more until you get them.
- At this stage, it's difficult to hit 100% Block Chance, but Bulwark's, En Guarde tempers and some Paragon nodes make it possible. If you feel too squishy, you can invest more into Block earlier (e.g. equip Herald of Zakarum, put the aspect on the amulet, more tempers, rush the Paragon nodes).
- Once you have assembled Judicant's Glaivehelm + Golden Hour and enough cooldown reduction to spam Spear of the Heavens reliably, switch to the Ancestral variant.

This section describes how to optimize your Judgement Paladin with the right Item Affixes, Runes and Mercenary choices.
To enable the Judgement Paladin to perform optimally, hunt for these stats on your gear with good rolls and aim to Temper ⚒️ & Masterwork Crit them accordingly. Keep in mind that certain stats, such as Extra Size Tempers, Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance and more, have caps that may affect your priorities according to the items and Paragon points available at that moment.
Recommended Consumables: Soothing Spices, Reddamine Buzz, Spiral Morning & Elixir of Fortitude II.
Note that skill ranks to its triggers (e.g. Spear of the Heavens) does not increase Judgement damage.

The build works really well when you decimate everything in seconds, but may get overwhelmed if fights are long against high level monsters. There are several adjustments you can make when you have trouble with more difficult content:
- Make sure you reach permanent 100% Block Chance to avoid massive damage spikes.
- Use defensive consumables (Reddamine Buzz, Soothing Spices, Elixir of Fortitude II).
- Roll Maximum Life instead of offensive stats on as many pieces as possible.
- Kite enemies when they become Unstoppable.
- Replace an offensive rune with Mot, Que or Xal.
Mechanics
- Judicator allows Judgement to benefit from any "Judicator" damage bonuses (e.g. Proselytizing, Judicator).
- The AoE explosion still deals damage to the main target.
