FAQ

Welcome to the Pulverize Druid Endgame Guide! This build combines massive, mid-ranged AoE damage with solid defenses and a simple playstyle that makes it one of the most prolific Bossers and Pit Pushers in Diablo 4!

The Pulverize Druid revolves around Rotting Lightbringer, a Unique which creates lingering Poison puddles that guarantee Overpowers and create a splashy area of effect when struck.

The build bolsters its guaranteed Overpower damage through Willpower scaling, Survival Instincts, and the Ursine Strength Key Passive. By endgame, the Pulverize Druid boasts capped Critical Strike Chance and amplifies these hits with powerful multipliers in Envenom, Avian Wrath, and Earthen Devastation.

The setup in Season 12 is largely similar to recent seasons, though Grizzly Rage now has limited uptime before it must be recovered by Calm Before the Storm. On the upside, Rampaging Werebeast and Rabid Bear are both changed to be effective during the downtime.

The Pulverize Druid scales to the very end through impactful Paragon progression and Unique item acquisition, making it a great choice both early and late game. In this guide, we teach you all you need to know to be successful with the Pulverize Druid in Diablo 4. Let's dive into it!

赛季主题与构筑适配

Season 1 - Genesis
Pulverize Druid

The Season 12 theme brings Killstreaks and Bloodied Items to Diablo 4. Slay enemies in succession to begin a streak that grants increasingly greater benefits based on which affixes you roll on your gear in addition to seasonal reputation and experience. Tiers are divided as follows: Killstreak (0-99) - Carnage (100-249) - Devastation (250-499) - Bloodbath (500-999) - Massacre (1000-9000) - Fresh Meat! (9001+). For most instanced content types, you can typically expect to reach up to the 4th tier (Bloodbath). Additionally, you can find Bloodied Sigils for Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes and Lair Bosses that offer greater challenges and rewards (introducing "pseudo Torment 5").

Bloodied Items

Bloodied affixes are bonus affixes that can randomly roll on gear and come in three categories: Rampage (armor), Feast (weapons), Hunger (jewelry). The first two offer minor combat effects while the latter boosts specific loot drops, which doesn't impact your build. Recommended affixes for this build are:

  • Rampage: Movement Speed (1 roll), Primary Core Stat, Attack Speed (max 1 roll)
  • Feast: Berserking (preferred), Chain Hook (alternate)
  • Hunger: Experience Gained or personal preference

There is more to discover including the new seasonal Slaughterhouses and how to transform into the Butcher himself. Learn more details about the season theme in our full Season Guide.

技能与玩法

Season 1 - Genesis
Pulverize Druid
Gameplay Notes
  • Pulverize is your damage Skill. It provides a source of guaranteed Overpower and multiplies your damage with a pair of great upgrades. Rotting Lightbringer greatly amplifies the damage and area of effect of this skill.
  • Grizzly Rage is your endgame Ultimate of choice. Maintaining its uptime is crucial for both damage and defense, so employ Grizzly Rage Duration and Cooldown tempers and Calm Before the Storm to that end.
  • Debilitating Roar provides a short burst of damage and damage reduction. Use it liberally.
  • Claw allows you to quickly stack Quickshift at the start of each zone. It transforms into Maul and serves as a backup Spirit Generator while in Grizzly Rage.
  • Cyclone Armor is a cheeky choice. Its passive damage reduction persists into Grizzly Rage as long as it is on your Human form skill bar.
  • Trample is used for additional mobility between packs and emergency Unstoppable out of Grizzly Rage.

Passives

  • Ursine Strength is the Key Passive of choice, both for the added toughness and to synergize with the build's guaranteed Overpowers.
  • Envenom provides a massive Critical Strike Damage bonus to Poisoned enemies.
Rotation Breakdown

Skill Rotation

  • When you first enter a zone and before entering Grizzly Rage, alternate between Claw and Pulverize to stack Quickshift. If you fail to fully stack this buff before entering your Ultimate, you can briefly channel a town teleport to return to Human form between each Pulverize.
  • Once in Grizzly Rage, simply spam Pulverize at enemies, maximizing Rotting Lightbringer's Poison puddles for overlapping damage.
  • Use Debilitating Roar practically on cooldown for damage, or hold it for the right moment if you sense danger.
  • Trample to cover more ground or break free of Crowd Controls when Grizzly Rage is down.
  • As a min-max, use Claw periodically when outside of Grizzly Rage and just before activating it to temporarily double the effects of Toxic Claws.

Rotting Lightbringer

Rotting Lightbringer creates puddles of Poison centered around your character any time you cast Pulverize and aren't already standing in one. When struck with Pulverize again, the puddles create splashes that are guaranteed to Overpower for a portion of the puddle's total damage, constituting a huge chunk of your overall damage. The key here is to create many puddles in an area around your target by moving out of them between casts, multiplying the number of splashes created and maximizing their chance to hit.

Spirit Boons

Druids can choose 5 out of 16 Passive bonuses (Boons) from 4 different Spirits. Bond with one of the Spirits (by clicking its Portrait in the Spirit Boon menu) to activate two of its Boons. Use the following Boons:

Deer Spirit: Gift of the Stag
Eagle Spirit: Avian Wrath
Wolf Spirit: Energize
Snake Spirit: Calm Before the Storm

Bond with the Eagle Spirit and activate Swooping Attacks. Scythe Talons is viable for additional Critical Strike Chance.

Season 1 - Genesis
Pulverize Druid

This section is designed to guide your Pulverize Druid from a fresh level 60 into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Push (Tower/Pit), Speedfarm and more.

If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, this is where you begin. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols or Pale Marks in the Mercenary Den.

Gear & Skills

Gear Setup
Skill Tree
  • Early on in your progression, focus on stacking Maximum Life to survive. As you unlock higher power gear and Paragon points, you naturally scale your character into the higher difficulties and can start replacing some of these rolls with offensive stats or uniques.
  • Before accessing the guaranteed Overpowers from Rotting Lightbringer, the Pulverize Druid relies on Raging Pulverize, Obsidian Slam, and Provocation to Overpower with direct damage via Shockwave.
  • Without Rotting Lightbringer, the build needs a different means to inflict Poison and evoke related bonuses such as Envenom and Heightened Malice. For now, use Poison Creeper in place of Trample and take Pack Leader to regularly reset its cooldown.
  • Note that a single roll of Life per Hit on either your Weapon, Gloves, or Rings is essential for recovery, as is a roll of Lucky Hit: Chance to Inflict Vulnerable to utilize that debuff.
  • After that, capping Critical Strike Chance is a higher priority than maximizing Attack Speed, and you can employ Scythe Talons, Gar, Bloodied Affixes, and Earth Critical Strike tempers to reach that goal.
  • If you're struggling with survivability, sacrifice Pulverize Size tempers for Maximum Life tempers or forego Ballistic for a defensive aspect such as Might or Spirit Bond. If that's not enough, drop Vex in favor Que.
