Thorns Barbarian Endgame Build Guide for Diablo IV Season 12 - Slaughter

• (2H Mace) Lunging Strike is our main skill. Its sole purpose is being the best Offerings generator for the Xan Rune when paired with Moni.
• (2H Mace) Leap as a support skill is used for 3 reasons. Generating Earthquakes to trigger the global damage multipliers from Earthquakes Aspect, applying Vulnerable on our landing spot (using a Lucky Hit affix) and triggering our Barbed Carapace secondary "Active AoE Thorns" damage.
• Wrath of the Berserker acts as a steroid buff, further increasing our damage. It provides Berserking, Movement Speed and makes us Unstoppable while active and also doubles as a packing tool once it reaches rank 5. The Qax Rune will be used to spend resource in order to stack Supreme Wrath of the Berserker.
• Challenging Shout is our most important buff, as it grants us a vast amount of damage mitigation and Maximum Life, but above all increases our base amount of Thorns while active thanks to Strategic Challenging Shout, which is the reason we want it up at all times!
• War Cry as our offensive Shout, grants us Berserking and a hefty damage multiplier.
• Iron Skin as a low-cooldown defensive buff. It provides us Barrier, bonus Maximum Life and Life per second or Fortify.

Buff Rotation - Whenever available

• Wrath of the Berserker to pack monsters and maintain your Supreme Wrath of the Berserker buff.
• War Cry for its damage multiplier.
• Challenging Shout for the added defenses.
• Iron Skin as a spammable Barrier and way to use your Health potions to maximize the Imbiber effects.

Main Rotation

• Spam Lunging Strike and Leap (whenever it's up).

• Razorplate is the obvious core of any midgame Thorns build. Despite being lackluster when it comes to stats, its Unique effect more than makes up for it!
• Sabre of Tsasgal - packs a lot of power, especially once you gain access to frequent Overpowers.
• Battle Trance - very competitive Amulet that is easy to farm; has very potent stats and effect.
  • TIP 1: You gain the Frenzy stacks passively thanks to the "20% chance" implicit Lucky Hit Effect.
  • TIP 2: You don't have to have Frenzy on your bar to gain it's AB (enhanced/advanced) nodes effects, thanks to that same Lucky Hit effect.
• Doombringer is used for its gigantic Maximum Life increase, which further increases our Thorns.
• Harlequin Crest gives us a global +4 skill ranks, a lot of Maximum Life, Cooldown and damage reduction.
