Gear & Skills
How it Works
Skills & Rotation
- Maul provides your Werebear form. Alternate between Maul and Tornado before entering Grizzly Rage to stack Quickshift and to activate other Werebear synergies. During Grizzly Rage Maul becomes Claw, and serves as your backup Spirit generator.
- Tornado is your main damage skill. Unlock Raging Tornado to extend your Tornado's lifetime when damaging Vulnerable enemies. Focus on casting your Tornado in melee range to make the most of its short lifetime and scattered movement.
- Shred is your mobility tool. Employ Primal Shred to dash to your targets in quick succession, improving your clearing speed.
- Cyclone Armor is a cost-effective source of Damage Reduction that also groups enemies with Preserving Cyclone Armor. By grouping enemies, your Tornado is more likely to stay on target and deal damage.
- Blood Howl provides you with a sizable damage multiplier and extra Healing. Additionally, Enhanced Blood Howl helps you cast this skill frequently to double down on your Vigilance and Backlash uptime.
- Grizzly Rage offers a strong damage multiplier, and its upgrades ensure you are always Unstoppable and Fortified. Utilize Grizzly Rage Cooldown Reduction and Calm Before the Storm to recover it quickly.
- In the endgame, the Constricting Tendrils Paragon Board is responsible for Poisoning enemies. Use the Overload Boon until you have the necessary Paragon Points to unlock it.
Skill Rotation
- Stack your Shapeshifting synergies by alternating between Maul and Tornado.
- Activate Grizzly Rage for a large damage multiplier, permanent Unstoppable, and Fortify generation.
- Cast Tornado to deal damage. Utilize Cyclone Armor to group enemies. This helps your Tornado deal more consistent damage.
- Dash to enemies using Shred.
- Use Blood Howl as often as possible to receive the benefits from Vigilance, Backlash, and Innate Blood Howl.
Gear
- Tempest Roar is your most essential unique, which can be found by defeating Duriel, King of Maggots, or Andariel. It transforms your Tornado into a Werewolf Skill, providing a new range of damage multipliers, Attack Speed, Movement Speed, and grants you access to Lust for Carnage.
- Dire Wolf's enables Grizzly Rage by transforming it into a Werewolf Skill. This build cannot be played without it.
- Before transitioning into the Mythic variant, use Malefic Crescent and Mad Wolf's Glee for their impressive offensive stats.
- Temerity and Tibault's Will are interchangeable depending on your needs. However, the former is recommended due to the poor survivability of the Werewolf.
- Shroud of False Death and Ring of Starless Skies are late-game powerhouses. The latter is especially potent because it substantially reduces your Spirit Costs.
- Xan provides you with guaranteed Crits and Overpower damage. You activate it frequently by pairing it with Xol and Igni + Wat.
- If you're having issues with Tornado's Spirit Cost early on, ensure you have equipped Lum and Gift of the Stag.
- Additionally, use gear with Spirit Per Second affixes and leverage Resource Cost Reduction. If you're still having trouble, imprint Resource Aspects (such as Umbral's and Vocalized Empowerment) for their Spirit generation.
